Hi! I'm Raquel, I'm married to a descendant of islanders.
Since we were teenagers we have always spent our holidays in Sao Miguel and when the kids were born the Azores became also their favorite destination, they simply love spending their holidays with their cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Over the years, we have always wanted to have our refuge in S. Miguel island. In 2019 this dream came true and we started a tourist project on this beautiful green Island.
Besides this new adventure in tourism, I have been working in Corporate Events on Portugal's mainland for nearly 20 years. Meeting people and providing them with happy moments is what I enjoy the most.
Recently, in 2022 the Azores won Europe's Leading Adventure Tourism Destination, in the Global Travel Awards! So this is an especially appealing destination, here you can find adventure, green landscapes over the blue ocean and, it is only 3h-5h away from central Europe and the USA.
Spending more time on the island, I realized, based on my experience in events and all the advantages mentioned, that this is the perfect location for destination weddings.
So this is how the idea of creating Unique Days in the Azores urged!
